Wild visions, untamed myth

A double helping of ancient myth that sets the women firmly centre stage. Plunge into the wild world of the goddess Artemis where a moonlit path leads to transformation, and meet Kassandra, blessed with the power to see the future, cursed with never being believed. Epic tales of women taking their power whatever the consequences.

Created and performed by storytellers Katy Cawkwell & Lucy Lill

Suitable for 14+

The home child

Performing with fiddle player Ruth Angell, Liz Berry weaves her unique magic with extracts from her spellbinding verse novel, The Home Child, telling her great aunt’s personal and at times harrowing story, as one of thousands of orphaned children sent to Canada to work as indentured labourers and domestic servants over half a century. The Home Child has been shortlisted for The Writers' Prize 2024, adapted for Radio 4, lauded in the Guardian, Times, Telegraph and Radio Times.  Forward Prize winner Liz has featured many times on television and radio and is a frequent speaker at festivals all over the UK.
