For the past decade, The Theatre Shop has been a cornerstone of Clevedon's cultural life and played a vital role in enriching Clevedon's artistic landscape.  However, our future is now uncertain. The building that The Theatre Shop has called home for the last ten years has recently come under new ownership, and the new landlord is seeking a tenant who can pay full commercial rent and business rates on the property. Though we currently plan to go ahead with delivering our spring season, our prospects of reopening in the autumn are uncertain and we will need to vacate our current unit in the near future.

 

In light of this, the team behind The Theatre Shop is appealing for help from the local community and beyond. Support can come in many forms:

 

• A new venue: If anyone knows of a suitable space that could become the Theatre Shop's new home, the team would love to hear from you.

• Storage space: Temporary free or low-cost storage facilities for the theatre's set, equipment, and seating would be a huge help.

• Financial donations: Contributions of any size will go directly towards relocation costs and securing the future of the theatre.

• Volunteer support: The physical process of carefully dismantling the theatre's interior infrastructure will require many hands - and every volunteer counts.
